A well-hidden speakeasy bar that crafts one of the classiest cocktails in Kyoto!

Bee's Knees is a speakeasy bar drawing its name from the prohibition era cocktail which used citrus and honey to hide the strong smell of gin. The bar is built around the theme of a 1920s prohibition era in the United States and it does an excellent job of creating a prohibition era feel from the get-go. The bar disguises its entrance as a yellow door with "The Book Store" written in stencil letters. Open the door, walk through the curtains and you will make it to the secret hideout. The bar interior is quite modern and has no windows but its high ceilings and dim lights creates a safe haven for you. The head bartender is a qualified World Flair Association examiner and has participated and won multiple international flair competitions. The bar has 12 main drinks and each are delivered in different glasses and are garnished with fresh fruits and vegetables. Some drinks are even served with dry ice, creating a smokey effect. Nonetheless, all of their cocktails are picture-worthy and the ingredients have been perfectly assembled to fit your taste buds. This bar is one of the classiest and could be considered the bees knees (best) of Kyoto!
