A mysterious bar with magician mixologists, spellbinding performances, and potion-like cocktails!

L’Escamoteur Bar is placed on the second floor of a narrow brick wall building on Kiyamachi Street. Decorated with wooden furnishings and steels, this is a one-of-a-kind steampunk themed bar in Kyoto. Clear glass bottles are displayed across the counter and the candle lights around them give its colorful potions a strange glow. Elixirs and mystery are what this bar is all about, from the red carpet covering the staircases to the antiques on top of shelves of bottles; there is something mystifying yet intriguing about what this bar has to offer. The owner of the bar, Christophe is a bartender as well as a magician – hence the name L’Escamoteur which means magician in French. Him and the bartenders love entertaining their guests with spellbinding performances while serving them the finest elixirs. Some have unusual ingredients but they are the perfect accent for a mysterious cocktail. Words cannot describe the magic of this place, you will have to come and see for yourselves!
