A quaint jazz and whiskey bar tucked away in the narrow street of Pontocho Alley. Keep your eyes peeled for the “Hello Dolly” sign that hangs at the top of the entrance because the entrance is very slim. Named after the 1964 musical, “Hello Dolly” is a bar where Jazz and cocktail lovers gather to ease off. The interior is decorated with antique sofas and lamps and the jazz ballads and swing songs take its customers on a journey back to the mid-20th century. The bartenders are on the younger side but that does not mean that they are less experienced. Besides their great selection of whiskeys, they also have a wonderful selection of vintage jazz vinyl which makes them unique from other bars in Pontocho. The dimly-lit romantic jazz ambience and the live music (on weekends) is what attracts all the people. Sit down, have a drink, and you’ll fall in love with this place.
