Fumon An

Located near Kiyomizu Temple and Sanneizaka is Fumon-An, a sweet-specialist shop selling warabi mochi (clear mochi with flavoured powder) amongst other delicious treats. Fumon-An consists of two parts: the sweet shop, and the café.
The soft and chewy "Kiyomizu Ofukuhan" manju, fluffy and aroma-filling "Suzu Castella", and chocolate-coated rice crackers "Fuku No Tane" are its best-selling sweets.
At the cafe, you can also enjoy warabi mochi and other desserts! The "warabi mochi noodles" is also a must! (only 20 meals available per lunch time, so hurry!)
After you've got all your shopping done, visit the Ofuku Café! Care for some warabi mochi and matcha sweets?

After having read your fortune, follow the instructions nearby to pay homage to the shrine.

It is Japanese tradition to tie your fortune slips onto a piece of rope under the torii gateway. It creates a rainbow pathway, making it very instagram-worthy.
