Make Some Handmade Memories in Over 116 Years Kyoto style house

Located on the west side of the famous Kyoto tourist destination Sanjusangen-do, "Waraku" provides a cultural workshop with over 118 years of history. Here you can learn how to make traditional Kyoto-styled hair pins, piercings and earrings in short, easy to pick up sessions! Each workshop can be completed rather quickly, with hair pins taking roughly 60 minutes, and piercings taking 30 minutes respectively!

Made with two hundred year old Kyoto bamboo, and the techniques developed by professional Kyoto bamboo workers, and created with the utmost care and attention to detail, the hairpins and jewellery made here is frequently used by professional geisha and maiko!
