Gion Hatanaka

It has been eight years since Gion Hatanaka began running their evening apprentice geisha (maiko), and Kyoto dining events and it has rapidly gained acclaim both from within and from outside of Japan. Guests can expect to enjoy fine food and entertainment from the geisha and maiko, ranging from pleasant chats to traditional dance. This is a rare chance to interact with the reclusive geisha! These events are only run around 100 times a year, and the participation fee includes the food, all you can drink, and the charge required to hire the maiko, coming up to just 19,000 yen per person!

The events begin at 18:00 and are only held once a day.
